• Invisible from above, the fixing elements hold the plates together
• They prevent the mats from slipping, even when moving equipment across the training area
• The mat ends can be fitted with corner pieces that blend seamlessly into the edges of the mat
• This creates a smooth transition between the mat and the floor, preventing the formation of high edges
• That reduces trip hazards and makes it easier to maneuver weight benches or mobile weight storage
• The end pieces thus offer not only a visually appealing solution but also increase the safety and functionality of the flooring

Step-by-step guide to cutting and laying the gym flooring:

1. Safety First: Put on suitable work gloves to avoid cut injuries.
2. Choosing the right tool: a sharp carpet or utility knife and a guide rail.
3. The subfloor should be flat and even. In addition, you should use cardboard boxes, for example, to protect the floor.
4. Measure precisely and mark the area to be cut with chalk or lightly score it with the knife.
5. Position the guide rail and pull the knife firmly through the mat without lifting it. The cut should be made in one motion and the applied pressure should be even. This process is repeated until the mat is completely cut through. Spread the mat apart piece by piece while cutting to reduce friction. If necessary, moisten the knife a little with soapy water to allow better gliding. However, keep in mind that this also increases the risk of slipping.
6. Any gaps between the mats can simply be covered with black tape, preventing dust and dirt from getting in.
