Curl Bars

1. What is an EZ bar?

An EZ bar, or curl bar, is a barbell with bends in the shaft, built for biceps curls and triceps extensions. The angled grip takes the strain off your wrists and puts your hands in a more natural position, which means better form and less injury risk.

2. What’s the advantage?

Easier on the wrists, and the bends give you several grip positions to hit the arms from different angles. Comfortable, effective arm training.

3. What are specialty bars?

Barbells built for a specific job, for example:
• Trap bars: deadlifts with a neutral grip.
• Safety squat bars: squats with less load on the lower back.
• Multi-grip bars: pressing with a range of grips. They let you target muscles, work around injuries, and break plateaus.

4. How does an EZ bar differ from other specialty bars?

The EZ bar is for arm work and wrist comfort. Trap bars and safety squat bars are for the big compound movements — deadlifts and squats — and the specific demands of those lifts.

5. Are they good for beginners?

Yes. An EZ bar is a great first bar for arms and upper body. Trap bars and multi-grip bars also suit beginners — they encourage natural movement and make technique easier to learn.
