Powerlifting Belts & Padding

1. What does a lifting belt do?

It braces your core on heavy compound lifts like squats and deadlifts. The belt raises intra-abdominal pressure and protects your spine, so you can move more weight safely and under control.

2. Why lift with a belt?

Better posture under load, stronger core bracing, and lower injury risk at maximal weights. Standard equipment in powerlifting, bodybuilding, and serious strength training.

3. What kinds of belts are there?

Lever buckle, prong buckle, or Velcro. Lever and prong belts are the most rigid. Velcro belts are more flexible and faster on and off — good for functional training.

4. When do I need a bar pad?

A bar pad protects your neck and shoulders on heavy squats and hip thrusts. No pressure points, more comfort — useful for beginners and anyone with sensitive shoulders.

5. What size belt do I need?

Sizes go by waist measurement. Measure at your natural waist, standing relaxed, and use our size chart. A belt should sit snug without restricting your breathing.
