1. Flat, incline, or decline bench — what’s the difference?

A flat bench stays horizontal, ideal for standard bench press. An incline bench angles upward and shifts the work to the upper chest and shoulders. A decline bench angles downward and targets the lower chest.

2. Who needs an adjustable bench?

Anyone who wants variety in upper body training. Different angles let you target different muscles from one bench.

3. How do I set the bench correctly?

The backrest should lock firmly at your chosen angle. Keep your feet flat on the floor and make sure the bench doesn’t rock.

4. What can I do on an adjustable bench?

Bench press, incline press, decline press, shoulder press, one-arm dumbbell rows — and plenty more.

5. Do I need accessories?

Not to get started. To add variety, pair it with dumbbells, a barbell rack, or a power rack.
